Asset Management Fundamentals (1 Day)

Course Overview

The one day training course is aimed at providing participants with an understanding of fundamental asset management processes and principles, with a particular focus on how they can provide benefits to your organisation.

K2 is currently the only vendor authorised to deliver this training course on behalf of the Asset Management Council. Participants will receive all the relevant training materials (i.e. workbook) and have the opportunity to sit the exam at the conclusion of the training, receiving certification upon successful completion.

Learning Objectives

As a result of completing the Asset Management Fundamentals Training course, participants will have the ability to:

  • Define Asset Management and describe relevant systems, principles and concepts
  • Analyse and evaluate risk and understand the key principles of industry standards (ISO) and AMBoK
  • Understand Asset Management technical processes and their application within industry
  • Apply learnings to develop Asset Management objectives to meet stakeholder requirements and optimise overall organisational performance
  • Identify available Asset Management tools and techniques

Who Should Attend?

Asset Management practitioners, consultants and engineers who wish to learn or refresh their understanding of fundamental Asset Management and maintenance processes and techniques. Senior Managers who wish to gain an appreciation of how sound asset management practices can benefit their teams and organisations. 


For those participants seeking formal recognition of the learning undertaken, a post course examination will be available and certification presented to those who are successful in completing it.

Successful completion of the post course examination will also contribute towards becoming a Certified Associate in Asset Management.
