Asset Risk and Reliability (2 Days)

Course Overview

The Asset Risk and Reliability training course is a 2-day program designed to provide participants with a sound understanding of the fundamentals concepts of risk management, so that they can be applied as part of their day-to-day work activities. The learning prorgam will also help participants gain an understanding of the operational, financial, safety and social impacts that poor risk management can have on an organisation. The course comprises of classroom type workshops interspersed with practical group discussions and activities to reinforce the understanding of the training material.

Learning Objectives

As a result of completing the Reliability Centered Maintenance Principles training, participants will have the ability to:

  • Understand Asset Risk
  • Demonstrate an awareness of the range of potential tools to identify and assess risks
  • Assess risks through analysis of likelihood of causal factors and potential impacts
  • Demonstrate ability to identify, assess, and evaluate risks for a specific assets
  • Understand basic maintenance and reliability principles and use this information to analyse and predict future reliability performance
  • Understand and develop risk/ condition based maintenance strategies
  • Understand the concepts of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and their application
  • Understand the concepts of Failure Mode Effect (Criticality) Analysis (FME(C)A) and their application
  • Understand the concepts Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) and their application
  • Understand and develop the concept of risk management using the Bow Tie Methodology
